George Bogucki

Site Manager

A Good Local Company

George Bogucki, who is one of our Site Managers, joined ITC just over 6 years ago.  He lives locally in South London and having worked in central London for many years, was pleased to find a good local company to join, he spent his first 4 years working in Dulwich, Gatwick and Croydon, which were all a bus or train ride from his home.

George says he just enjoys the openness with his colleagues; “everyone just gets on well with each other”.  He has been pleased with his progress to-date, having joined originally as a Foreman looking to progress, he is now a Site Manager successfully running his own sites.

Development on the Job

He’s pleased with the mandatory training, including maintaining his first aid and SMSTS certification, whilst his development has come on the job, taking on larger and more complex jobs, most recently working on a £4m project in Wimbledon.

George reiterated the openness of the people, “we all work together to get the job done”, he said.  He enjoys being able to sit down and discuss his ideas with the Contracts Managers and the Project Directors, and that they take on board his ideas too.  “Of course, the jobs are stressful” he says, “like any other construction company, but at ITC they have a real openness and helpfulness to work together as a team and a joint goal to get the job done – I think this really helps”, he said.  “You feel like you count at ITC, they pay you competitively and unlike in big organisations where you can get lost in the big machine, at ITC we all have a part to play, we all believe and want to get the job done to a high quality and we do!”
