Value: £2.1m
Duration: 40 weeks
Contemporary refurbishment of popular Italian restaurant in the historic Surrey town of Egham.
Runnymede Borough Council awarded our team a contract to refurbish and modernise a restaurant situated on Egham high street. By transforming the office space into four flats, the council were looking to provide new residential accommodation.
Demolition works took place to the rear of the building, creating additional car parking spaces. We then fitted out the entirety of the restaurant with new services and interior features. A full suite of mechanical and electrical services were required including new electrics, heating, lighting, air conditioning, restaurant ventilation and kitchen extraction.
As part of this project we also transformed the office space above the restaurant into four new flats. All new services were acoustically treated to ensure noise did not affect the residential properties above.
Our team worked closely with specialist designers to create a range of bespoke features across the restaurant. Tailor made furniture, a copper top bar and an authentic pizza oven helped give the restaurant a sophisticated, yet relaxed feel. Folding doors were fitted to allow for expandable space, creating a seamless seating area.
The newly designed Caffé Gondola has been well received by our client and it’s visitors. Following the success of this development, our team have since been awarded a second retail fit-out project for Runnymede Borough Council.
