Runnymede Borough Council, 168 High Street, Egham

Type: Refurbishment & Fit-out
Value: £2.1m
Duration: 40 weeks

Converted office space provides modern apartments in the historic Surrey town of Egham.

Situated on Egham high street, our team transformed an office space into four contemporary apartments. This contract also included the refurbishment of the restaurant situated underneath the offices.

Demolition works took place to the rear of the building, creating additional car parking spaces. We then partitioned the upstairs space to create the required layouts and fitted new mechanical and electrical services. A full fit-out was required including new kitchens. bathrooms, flooring and decoration. Our specialists also installed a new slate and lead roof on the building in order to comply with planning regulations.

Whilst working on the restaurant refurbishment below, our team acoustically treated all new services to ensure noise would not affect the residential properties. A new front entrance to the flats was also added from the high street.

The new flats have provided much needed residential accommodation in this sought-after area. Following the success of this development, our team have since been awarded a second retail fit-out project for Runnymede Borough Council.
