New state-of-the-art health centre provides better health outcomes for local community

As part of the London Borough of Hounslow’s redevelopment plan, ITC were appointed to carry out the fit-out of a brand new, 2-storey NHS primary care facility for the Chiswick Family Practice in Ealing.

The facility will play host to two existing GP practices, enabling both to expand their patient lists, alongside local population increases.

A complete transformation

The Healthcare Centre provides over 2,600m2 of new facilities, including:

  • Entrance, reception and waiting room
  • First floor waiting room
  • Staff training and meeting room
  • Infant feeding room
  • Staff room offices
  • 7 consulting rooms
  • Treatment and multipurpose room
  • Cleaners and clinical stores
  • Dirty utility

The team also installed external and internal wayfinding signage to provide an accessible and easy to navigate experience for all users of the practice.

M & E works included the fitting out of the comms room and plant enclosure in the car park space. The installation of new water services and NHS risers and WC facilities for all were also carried out.

Supporting the NHS to deliver a Net Zero NHS Health Service

Utilising technologies including solar and ground source heat pumps, the facility will reduce the amount of carbon emissions by more than half, making the practice significantly more environmentally friendly.

The finished spaces help to conserve energy, provide optimum user conditions, whilst minimising daily running and maintenance costs. We are delighted that this project achieved ‘Very Good’ BREEAM rating.

A larger, modern, fit for purpose health facility

The bright, modern, finished spaces now provide an outstanding environment for health practitioners to continue dedicating and supporting patients through traditional medicine and innovative approaches.

 

This development will have a hugely positive impact on the local area, not only providing high quality social housing for NHS key workers, but a new and improved health facility in which frontline staff can continue to deliver excellent patient care.
