HMM drops anchor in Docklands!
ITC was appointed on a full design and build contract to fit-out global logistics company HMM’s new UK and European Head Office within the popular Harbour Exchange development in Docklands.
The new office straddles two buildings within Harbour Exchange and required a full strip out in building 1 including the dividing party wall, to seamlessly integrate with the recently refurbished floor plate within building 2.
The team met with the client weekly onsite to fully engage them in the design and build process, which contributed to the smooth sailing of this project.
A complete CAT B fit-out of 13,000 sq ft of office space
We formed new offices in glass and drywall with a high level of acoustics, along with separate meeting rooms and the main boardroom. New floor finishes and joinery was installed throughout, along with acoustic ceilings and wall panels to critical areas.
The ITC team ran a tight ship, with a challenging construction programme being driven by tight procurement deadlines for MEP equipment.
Service coordination into the architecture was also a challenge, installing new M&E whilst reconfiguring existing. This was successfully managed through close, daily collaboration with the design team and client.
HMM’s dynamic new HQ provides their team with open-plan, agile, community and client-centric spaces.
