Harrow Library
We were delighted to be appointed by Harrow Council to undertake the fit out of a new purpose built library facility from shell and core across the ground and mezzanine floors.
Fully Operational
Our team successfully completed the project whilst allowing the apartment building above to remain fully operational. Works entailed various alterations including stairs, new internal partitions doors, flooring, ceilings and overall finishes. New lighting installations compliment all areas of the library, along with various fixtures and fittings and internal and external signage. The carpet fitted in the library provides enhanced noise absorption, contributing to the creation of an outstanding study environment.
Mechanical & Electrical
ITC is proud to have delivered ultra-modern library facilities, featuring a number of outstanding Mechanical and Electrical elements that help make the library so distinctive. These include high standard delmatic blinds, managing both artificial lighting (through digital switching and dimming) and daylighting (through control of window blinds).
Additionally, we provided SEAM lighting, ensuring that as an area gets darker the installed lighting will compensate accordingly, effectively operating in sympathy with the natural light within the room. The library is also fully air conditioned, with heating and cooling benefitting from state of the art BMS controls.
Strong Relationships
ITC’s strong working relationship and effective collaboration with the buildings Facilities Manager ensured deliveries and site activities were completed with minimal inconvenience to neighbours and the local community. ITC is delighted to have delivered a space that is contemporary, efficient, light and airy, providing a stylish library for the visitors of Harrow Council. Footfall has already demonstrated that this is undoubtedly a place where people want to spend time, and both the Architect and Council have expressed great pride in the facilities provided.
