Hall School, Wimbledon

Type: Refurbishment
Duration: 8 Weeks
Value: £450k

Summer Closure refurbishment works and upgrades at a private school in Wimbledon.

These refurbishment works at Hall School needed to be complete within the eight-week school closure period. This was to ensure that all areas would be open for the autumn 2019 term start and its new intake of new pupils.

The upgrade and refurbishment works were undertaken to areas within the new and old blocks, across the lower ground, ground, first and second floors. This included works to the school sports hall, several science laboratories, changing rooms, offices, classrooms, dining room and WC’s.

Much needed upgrades to services and drainage were undertaken within most areas including some form of services works. Architecturally the installation of new lab furniture, joinery, decorations and floor finishes were conducted.

The variety of different spaces, scope of works and high quality finishes could have proved a challenge within the limited programme time, but the ITC team executed it with diligence, passion and perseverance to complete the works on time to the delight of the school team.

The next phase of works for the schools programme of upgrades are already under discussion thanks to the success of this project
