Office refurb on the first and second floors of Gnome House.
This project for Big Creative Education saw a refurbishment of two floors of office space with new mechanical, electrical, heating and air-conditioning systems throughout. Big Creative wanted to create an eco -friendly working space fit for the creatives to use for hotdesking in this shared location. The client chose to use a lot of re-purposed materials in the office furnishings such as the desks and we are very pleased with the results.
The work consisted of the installation of new floor finishes with wall and ceiling finishes. Demolition and installation of new partitions, installation of new washrooms and bathrooms, and kitchen units.
The ITC team had to be considerate of logistics during this project as the office space is above a community centre and arts studio. Both neighbours reported having disruptions from previous contractors in the vicinity, and the ITC team worked to build a strong relationship with them, in extension to the client.
Noise disruption was planned around classes and busy times to enable both facilities to function undisturbed, while moving the project in good stead. The ITC team later donated hand dryers and led lighting to the community centre located on the ground floor.
