“The Place” for a HQ once again

5 Fleet Place is a prominent headquarters building located in the western edge of the City. Designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill and developed by British Land completing in 2008, the interior required updating to keep this building a desirable address for tenants.

Refurbishment to the highest standard

ITC transformed 5 Fleet place into a contemporary office destination once again. We built an impressive reception area, a contemporary business lounge onlooking Fleet Place, fitted-out 21,000 sq ft of office space to Cat-A standard and installed stylish lifts and new cycle storage and shower facilities.

The new multi levelled reception was designed by architects Gensler and features impressive detailing and high-quality finishes. The lift lobby was also upgraded, and we carried out a phased replacement of the lift cars with new glass, metal and stone internal finishes.

New upgrades were made in the basement to bring the building in line with current BCO requirements. The existing cycle storage and shower facilities were reconfigured and enhanced to provide 130 bike racks, 8 showers and a 65 strong locker room and new wayfinding scheme to benefit the buildings users.

Minimising disruption to tenants

We worked with the client to minimise disruption to the existing tenants, carrying out a rolling strip-out and refurbishment programme to allow the building and lifts to remain live and accessible throughout the build. An innovative moveable tunnel was constructed to enable the reception to remain operational and it also doubled as a working platform for high level works in this area of the building.
