Successful Hand-Over of UAL Multi-Campus Fit-out Project
21st November 2019
ITC has successfully handed over the development project at UAL. Fit-out and refurbishment works took place across three of the University of the Arts London campuses: in Camberwell, Chelsea, and Wimbledon.
In Camberwell, ITC carried out a fit-out of the 3rd, 4th & 5th floors of the new Academic Building, and a refurbishment of parts of the ground and first floors of the Victorian Building.
The Chelsea site saw a light touch refurbishment of existing rooms within Block A, minor services modification, data and power, decorations, perimeter boarding and installation of blinds.
In Wimbledon, a refurbishment of the existing studios in the new Studio Building was carried out in order to form new performance spaces. Additionally, there was a light refurbishment of existing rooms, which will accommodate courses decanted from other parts of the Wimbledon campus.
The project was a huge challenge; spread over 3 sites across different areas of London. The ITC team worked extremely hard to deliver the end product to a great standard; going over and above what was expected of them, working long hours, including evenings, nights and weekends to ensure we delivered.
The feedback from UAL was superb – they were delighted with the finished product, and the students were thrilled to start their term in the refurbished buildings.
