Teaching students more about construction

Where possible, we encourage engaging students, client teams, subcontractors and more to learn about our projects, collaborative working and working in construction. And recently, we’ve been working with students on a Maintenance Operations Level 2 Diploma course at STCG Wandsworth Campus, by showing them around a site that will soon become their new workshops.

In December 2019 ITC gave the students a full site induction, focusing on health and safety, which assisted them on their mock CSCS exams.

We did a second walk end of January around with the students. Matt Goodchild from, MG flooring and ITC gave a presentation to them detailing flooring works on the project along with a site walk around, showing how the works have progressed since their first visit.

ITC SHE Constructs

This month ITC will also have a candidate starting work experience from SHE Constructs who will be spending two days at Wandsworth Campus with the site team. The two week placement will cover health and safety, commercial, site management and more.
