September Project Update

ITC September Project Update

September was a busy month for the ITC team, as you’ll see from this rather long run-through of our current, completed, and soon-to-be-active projects.

Pre-start phase

Towards the end of October, we’ll be starting our project at Epsom & St Helier Hospital, as part of the hospital’s regeneration scheme. Works will involve a fit-out of their Intensive Care Unit, including a new external electrical enclosure for the IPS/UPS system, and a new plant on the roof with a steel support system.

On Site

We have just begun working with the South Thames College Group on their Wandsworth Campus to perform a separation of the existing building. This will result in the creation of a new Primary school for the local children. Harrow Council have also contracted ITC to fully re-fit the Central Library and Pavilion: we’ll be modernising the facilities for future generations to enjoy.

Meanwhile, the second phase of our project with UCL Royal Free is underway – we are refurbishing a number of rooms to create general laboratory space, Category 2 laboratory space, an imaging laboratory, and office facilities.

There are more science-sector refurbishments underway in Middlesex, where ITC are re-fitting the CBRE laboratory facilities – a challenging project which demands significant technical and scientific knowledge to execute.

October also sees ITC moving on-site at Morley College in Westminster, where we’re re-configuring the existing reception space and constructing a new entrance building.

Finally, we’re excited to be working with Marcantonio Foods on a 6-month project to create a new production area for their luxury ice-cream cones, as well as a welfare area and an extension to their existing admin area.

Completed Projects

In September we completed our installation of a dental education centre at UCLH. The project involved the strip-out and removal of existing fixtures in a vacant laboratory, and installation of the latest dental equipment and technology.

In the middle of the month, we completed our refurbishment work for University of the Arts London (UAL). We refreshed student accommodation at the Camberwell and Chelsea campuses, and we created new performance spaces for students at the Wimbledon campus.

Last month also featured the successful hand-over of the Birkbeck University Library Refurbishment Works – a summer project which included a remodelling of the existing Reception area, library, offices and WCs at the Malet Street site, producing a new central hub. The hub consists of a reception area on the ground floor, and a first floor ‘Student Zone’ which facilitates student support, group work, and skills seminars.

We’re currently on site at:

CBRE, Lab Refurbishment | Croydon Council, Bernard Weatherill House | Croydon Council, Crosfield House | Harrow Council, Central Library | London Borough Camden, Holmes Road Depot | London Fire Commissioner, Integrated Equipment & Logistics | Marcantonio Foods | Morley College | Polka Theatre | Royal London Free, Charles Wolfson Centre | South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation, Tyson House & Lady Norman Unit | Hayashi Developments, Shakespeare Road | STCG Wandsworth Campus | UCL MSR | UCL Royal Free | Welbeck Mansions Fire Damage | Working Men’s College |
