November Project Update
29th November 2019
November was a busy month for our on-site teams, with great progress made on all of our sites and four projects coming to completion.
New projects
We were delighted to have been appointed by the University of Greenwich to carry out refurbishment works across three floors of their David Fussy Building on the Avery Campus.
Project completions
The Mayor of Croydon officially opened the new reception at Bernard Weatherill House on 27 November 2019. We completed the alteration and refurbishment to the corporate entrance on the ground floor of Bernard Weatherill House to improve the thermal comfort in the reception area. The works included the removal of turnstiles and replacement with bi-sliding doors.
We handed over a Magnetically Shielded Room (MSR) to University College London. The refurbishment works involved the installation of the MSR into the basement of the Queen Square site; structural works were required to reduce the existing floor level and services were updated. We also created a training room.
After spending over 1 year on site, we have completed works at Bethlem Royal Hospital for South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. Working on various units of the hospital, the works included the reconfiguration and minor works to multiple rooms on live wards, demolition and refurbishment works.
In November, we also completed phase 2 of the mechanical ventilation project at Working Men’s College, London.
