ITC’s Monthly Project Update – June 2020
1st June 2020
Take a look at our most recent project news
Starting on site in June
Works will soon begin at Kingston University, creating Pilot teaching and Midwifery teaching spaces and minor works to 5 rooms on 3 different campuses – Penryhn road, Kingston Hill and Roehampton.
In other good news, Shakespeare road has just started and is the last of our hibernated projects to get back up a running since Covid-19 began. We look forward to recommencing works on the office to residential conversion including a two-storey vertical extension. We will be keeping you posted after the works commence!
Action on site
Work has continued at 5 Fleet Place, London and labour levels have returned to what they were before lockdown.
At 63 St James’ London, following social distancing guidelines, scaffolding is currently being erected in preparation for ongoing works. Look out for our updates as work progresses on this prestigious commercial project over the coming weeks!
Excellent progress continues on the St. Helier lift refurbishment, with completion of the scaffold. With this complete, work can continue on the final stages of the lift. The new lift will provide staff and patients with improved access to the hospital.
We have been installing new mobile wash stations on our sites to ensure personnel can wash their hands frequently. The wash stations are in addition to a number of other safety measures we have put in place including:
- Covid-19 Toolbox Talks every morning
- 2m distancing signs and hazard tape on the floor
- Frequent reminders and signage to wash hands
- Gloves mask and goggles to be worn at all times
- Staggered tea breaks
- Sit 2m apart signage in canteens
