Your July 2021 Project Update
It has been a super busy month not only for our site teams but also our project support team, who have been setting up new projects and completing others!
Exciting New Retail, Hospitality, Healthcare and Education Projects
We are delighted to have been appointed by new client The Arch Company to renovate four arches at London Bridge Island for retail and hospitality use. As always, it is a pleasure to continue to work with our long-standing clients; this month we have been selected by University College London Hospitals (UCLH) and Kingston University to fulfil their latest refurbishment requirements.
A Royal Visit and Site Progress in July
At Belvedere House, The Royal Alfred Seafarers’ Society welcomed their patron HRH Princess Anne to the care home to meet staff and residents. During her visit, HRH The Princess Royal had a tour of the modernised facilities built by ITC, viewing the new rooms and architectural plans for the home.
Following our appointment by UCLH, we are keen to get going, having started site set up in the Chandler Wing of the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, where we will be refurbishing their existing Nuffield Ward.
Great progress is being made at our Morgan Motor Company project in Kensington. The structural openings have now been formed in these historic mews buildings, creating walkways between the showroom and customer lounge, where potential customers will be further enticed to fulfil their dream of owning a new Morgan.
Over at Kingston College, the existing entrance has been demolished in preparation for the construction of a new two-storey wrap around entrance.
Project Director Nick Hoy and his team took a trip down memory lane this month as they visited ZSL London Zoo, checking out the Komodo Dragon enclosure they built 17 years ago. This specialist project included a specialist roof installation to protect the dragons from UV light, climate control and irrigation systems maintained by state-of-the-art equipment. The team are proud to have created this unique habitat for this rare species.
Project Completions and Great New Spaces
We are pleased to have reached practical completion at Polka Theatre where we have redeveloped the site and built a new Adventure Theatre. With our work there done, the theatre team are putting their final touches in place as they prepare to reopen their doors. We can’t wait to see this space being fully utilised.
We handed over a state-of-the-art clinical facility at Croydon College this month. Hospital beds and equipment will be arriving in August to complete the Clinical Simulation Centre, ready for BSc Adult Nursing students starting in September.
