IAAF World Championships

It was great to see ITC’s Christine Evans volunteering at the Athletics World Championships at the London Olympic Stadium in August. Christine volunteered as part of the Spectator Services Team who were responsible for welcoming thousands of visitors to the arena; tasked with getting everyone really excited before they entered the grounds and making them feel part of this memorable occasion.

Christine said “The high point for me was definitely the last Saturday morning session on Bridge 1 (in the sunshine), greeting thousands of people – it was a complete sell out with around 55,000 visitors, mainly due to the relay heats being held in that session – with my megaphone, calling out hello and welcome to as many people as possible, in as many languages as possible! The interaction with visitors was brilliant.” Well done, Christine.
