Getting Out There

In this weeks “Life in Lockdown” entry, Business Development Manager Becky Cheney reflects on her first socially distanced meet up with her best friend and gives us an insight into the hugely successful virtual events we have been running at ITC over recent weeks.

Friends Reunited

For someone who hasn’t hung out with another adult since lockdown, I could have been forgiven for being just slightly excited to hang out with my best friend this week.

After battling my way through the collection of empty Amazon boxes, I found she’d positioned chairs, strictly 2 metres apart in her driveway, and I brought my own glass and drinks.

It was so lovely to see her in the flesh and despite all our zoom and telephone catch ups, it’s not the same as sitting with a friend and having that human contact.

It worked out brilliantly, until three aperol spritz and a glass of fizz in I needed the loo.  But that’s another story ….

Gin and Rum Tasting

In contrast our ITC weekly gin and now rum tasting events are going down a treat.  We’ve managed to keep in contact with a very decent number of our clients and referrers and everyone loves the little shipment of spirits and mixers delivered to their door.  Nick Conway and I are now officially gin connoisseurs!

Who knew that a rhubarb gin with ginger ale could taste so good?  I’m sure it’s almost a health juice!
